Cookie Policy

1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Nava Labs, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on navalabshq.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy. Nava Labs is an AI data and analytics infrastructure platform for engineering teams. This website serves as our product marketing site and developer documentation hub.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow us to recognise your device across page visits, store preferences, and measure how the site is used. We also use related technologies such as local storage and pixel-free analytics instrumentation.
3. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies in four categories on navalabshq.com:
| Category | Examples | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Session state, CSRF protection token, cookie-banner dismissal flag (local storage key: cookie-banner-dismissed-ts) | Session to 12 months |
| Preferences | Docs navigation state, code block language preference | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Self-hosted analytics, anonymized page view and referral data. IP addresses are anonymized before storage. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. | Up to 13 months |
| Marketing | Not currently used | Not applicable |
4. Notice and Choice
When you visit navalabshq.com, a cookie notice banner informs you that we use cookies as described above. By continuing to use the Service after seeing this notice, you consent to our use of cookies. You can withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time through the cookie preferences link in our footer, or by configuring your browser as described in Section 7.
5. Universal Opt-Out Signals
Where applicable state law requires, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Oregon, we honour browser-transmitted opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") for sale and targeted-advertising cookie categories. When our banner script detects a GPC signal from your browser, it suppresses analytics initialisation for your session and treats the signal as a valid opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Fonts served from Google Fonts may set a cookie as a side effect of the CDN request. Cloudflare, which serves our website, may set security-related cookies. We have data processing agreements with these providers limiting their use of data. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
7. Managing Cookies
- Use the cookie preferences link in our footer to dismiss or reopen the cookie notice and opt out of analytics.
- Your browser settings allow you to block or delete all cookies; visit aboutcookies.org for browser-specific instructions. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may impair site functionality.
- For analytics opt-out specifically, many self-hosted analytics tools respect the browser's Do Not Track header in addition to GPC.
8. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy when we change our analytics stack, add new cookie categories, or in response to regulatory changes. The "Last updated" date will reflect any material change.
